3B reviews some of the shortlisted books for Book Week

Some of us got to listen to some of the shortlisted books being read by a YouTube lady called ‘Mrs Judd in the Library’.

We gave the stories a quick review and here are our thoughts about the books.

 

The Patchwork Bike

I give it 5 out of 5 stars. The best part was when the boys were playing in the truck. I liked this part because I like being silly. My favourtie characters were the brothers because they were cool and silly characters.

Book of the Year: Early Childhood – Nomination

We give it 3 out of 5 stars. The best part was when all the birds said blastoff. We liked this part because they did some cool bird things. Our favourtie character was Boss Chip because he is a cool character.

I give it 3 out of 5 stars. The best part was when he got himself lost. I liked this part the best because he was smart and could work out where to go. My favourtie character was Gary because he was a smart bird.

We give it 3 out of 5 stars. The best part was when the rain came. We liked this part because there was a lot of onomatoeia in that part. Our favourtie character was Santa because he granted the girl’s wish and gave rain for Christmas.

We give it 4 out of 5 stars. The best part was when the dad yelled “go away” to the animals. We liked this part because of the way he said it. Our favourtie character was the dad because he was acting funny.
