Fantastic end to Term 3!

Concert

On Thursday the 13th of September we had our fantastic ‘History of Hits’ Year 3-6 concert. All songs related to the big idea of ‘Power’. Our class song was the kids version of ‘Up town funk’ by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars. We were asked to wear colourful clothing, runners and a cap (optional) to suit the theme. We practised our dance multiple times with our awesome teachers Miss Shabo and Mrs Hopkins. On the night, we were so excited and nervous at the same time. From the backstage, we had a quick look at the countless amount of people watching our fantastic performances. That’s when the nerves started to kick in! As soon as we went down to the stage we felt confident since we had practised numerous times. The audience was very supportive and cheered for us when we had finished our performance. We felt very happy at the end of the concert, our families were very proud of us!

Science Fair

On Wednesday the 19th of September we had an open morning for families to come and see our presentations about the ‘Power of Science’. We worked collaboratively with our peers to research and gather information on different scientists as well as how their discoveries have impacted the world and changed over time. We worked really hard on publishing, completing our prototypes and timelines. During the Science Fair each group presented in front of the audience. We then received warm and cool feedback from our parents and peers to help us reflect on what we did really well and what our area for improvement is. After receiving the feedback, all students identified one goal they would like to work on and achieve for next term. We would like to thank all the parents that came in and supported us. Thank you!

Next term before presenting I should practise my speech – Vihaan

I like how this time kids presented one group at a time because it was easier to hear and understand – Parent
