Hello my name is Ali S from 3B.
I am here to let you know about Clean Water and Sanitation.
Did you know…
- 783 million people do not have access to clean and safe water world wide?
- 40% Of the world’s population doesn’t have access to a toilet?
- poor sanitation causes diarrhoea related diseases?
You can help by buying toilet paper, tissues and paper towel from a company called Who Gives A C**p. Yes, it is not an appropriate word to put on here but they are a real company that helps providee clean water and toilets to people and communities in developing countries.
For more information please visit their website:
Thank you from Ali S

We are going to give you some information about Good Health and Wellbeing and how you can help!
We decided to look into Good Health and Wellbeing because we wanted to learn more about it.
Do you know that if you eat junk food you can get obesity? Obesity is not a good thing as it can lead to heart disease or Type 2 Diabetes.
You can reduce the chance of obesity by swapping junk food for healthier options.
Here are some information sheets to help you make healthy choice:
Reading Food Labels
Portion Sizes for Children
Healthy Food Groups

Hello, my name is Gabriel from 3B.
Did you know that 58 million children cannot go to school to get a basic primary school education.
To help people learn in schools and become smart I think we should do a donation. This will allow kids from around the world to go to school and make them very happy. This will also help children have better lives and learn things like writing, maths and sport.
You can support this goal and other UN Sustainability goals by being a part of Just One Day or writing a letter to the government.
Just One Day is a company that provides the opportunity for children in developing countries to go to school to get an education. All you have to do is live simply for Just One Day!

On Thursday the 25th of May, Aitken Creek Primary School had their Open Morning. The theme for the Open Morning was Rich Maths Tasks. 3B and 3D would like to thank Miss Georgiadis for running the Open Morning and all the parents and other staff that helped out.
We had to design and make a paper plane each. In our group we had to estimate how far our paper plane would fly and who in our group would have the longest flight.
We were lucky enough to get some help from some of our parents and our teachers.
Here are some photos from the day:
We had so much fun!
On Wednesday the 24th of May we had Better Buddies Day. We got to spend some of the day with our buddies doing activities that the Specialist teachers created.
In Session 1 we had to use the moves we learnt in PE and Performing Arts to make a dance to ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’ from the movie Trolls.
In Session 5 we had to make a Rain Stick “Palo” in Spanish. It was challenging to put the glue and brown paper on the ends so Miss Murray and Mrs McPhillips helped us with that step.
Here are some photos of us making Rain Sticks “Palo” with our buddies:
We loved spending time and doing fun activities with our buddies!

National Take Action Day against BULLYING and VIOLENCE happens on the 3rd Friday in March each year. This year it fell on Friday the 17th of March.
We worked as a class to come up with a definition of the words BULLYING and VIOLENCE. Here are our definitions…
We then traced around our hands, symbolising us saying ‘STOP’. We then brainstormed ways to help stop and reduce BULLYING and VIOLENCE. We wrote these on our hands and then we displayed them on our window facing out so we can come back to them for help while outside. Here is our display…
We wrote on the spare hands letters, numbers and symbols to spell out ‘BULLYING NO WAY! 3B 2017’. We placed them on our door to reminds us that we are an anti-bullying class! Here is our display…
